You need to figure out a way to spend quality time with her. It may take a mediator (someone both of you trust) and just sit and talk with her. Let her say what is on her mind, which may hurt your feelings, but let her get it out. You never know what she has been holding in her heart against you which is why she is behaving the way she is. You in turn need to share with her how you feel. Talk with her woman to woman not like a child. She is 17 now and is about to go into a stage of life that she doesn't have a clue about. She needs you whether she knows or says it or not. She may drinking a lot but you need to find out what the root of her problem is and help her build her self-esteem up and recognize the value she has in herself. You must do the same for you.
