Parenting Teenagers (12-18) Support Group
This community is focused on the joys, challenges and concerns faced by parents of teenagers (12 to 18 year olds). The major areas of child development include: physical development, perception and sensory development, communication and language development, cognitive development, emotional development and social development.
The biggest shift for me was learning that I can't control him anymore and as a mother, I had to let go and let him start making choices himself and I had to let him make those choices. You really turn from being an all involved parent to hopefully a trusted advisor.
I know it is tough and if you can do some counseling together, it will help you both find a way to transition him to adulthood.
