I think it's GREAT that you're taking care of your own needs by signing up for Tae Kwon Do to help de-stress. Excellent idea! I'm sure you've heard that old expression about how we must take care of ourselves first if we are to take care of others.
Are the kids getting counseling by order of the state? If so, find out who the Children's Services worker who's assigned to them is. Inform that worker about your observations and concerns. If you aren't able to do that, call the abuse hotline and tell them that you haven't seen direct evidence of abuse but are concerned something has happened the boys haven't come forward with yet or that tension is building and something may happen. Tell them you don't want to cause trouble; you just want the kids to get the help they need and you don't know what else to do.
If you do the class and decide to offer it for the boys, make sure you offer it to the parents but in their presence. Suggest that it will give everyone a break from each other to de-stress on a regular basis, may help the 16yo's health and help keep their medical bills lower, and teaches good self-discipline. They will be less likely to resist if they feel in control and see the benefit to THEM. Good luck. Take care.
