Parenting Teenagers (12-18) Support Group
This community is focused on the joys, challenges and concerns faced by parents of teenagers (12 to 18 year olds). The major areas of child development include: physical development, perception and sensory development, communication and language development, cognitive development, emotional development and social development.
Something else you might want to consider is getting a little counseling input on the situation with your son. Someone who specializes in divorce issues might be able to make some suggestions on how to restore your relationship with him and best handle things with his dad. Just a thought.
Lastly, I'm not sure if this will be useful or not, but I did see this article at http://bit.ly/1PGJX18 that talks about some of the custody issues you shared. So, might give you some guidance?
But, in the meantime, hang in there and don't give up hope for things with your son. Sometimes, issues like these just take time to settle down and kids come to respect the fact that you care enough about them to set down rules and guidelines. That will be my prayer for you son, anways!
