Son's brain starving?

I had my second child in February and also have a 4yo. I am losing my patience with my son because of his behavioural issues. He can't focus, won't listen and literally cannot sit or stand still. It isn't jealousy because this started way before i was pregnant, but I only had him to deal with. I read an article about omega 3 and 6 deficiency and would really like some input if anybody else has experience with this. Hello,

Have you gone to the doctor with these concerns? The doctor may be able to tell if there are deficiencies in omega 3 and 6 and how you can supplement them. I have similar difficulties with my niece, such as her not being able to sit still and seeming as if she is not hearing what i say to her.

I bought an omega 3 supplement with DHA and started that today so we will see what happens.

My 4yo son is exactly the same way. We've been using an Omega supplement for about a month, at a higher dosage than was is suggested on the bottle, and I'm sorry to say.... the behavior is as bad as it has ever been. FYI, from my reading about ADHD, a gummy vitamin with Omegas in it is not near enough to replace a deficiency. The kid would have to eat half the bottle to get a recommended dose. We use a liquid- the brand is Barlean's. Lots of folks in the ADHD community can recommend different supplements including B vitamins, zinc, and magnesium to help with behavior. We've been on zinc for about 6 months and I think it has helped some. Good luck!
