Firstly, I can't believe that it's taking this long, as my daughter just turned eight months and there's nary a tooth in sight.
My first daughter had her first two teeth by the time she was four and a half months old and there was no revelry beforehand. I just looked in her mouth and all of a sudden there they were.
This little one, however, I swear has been 'teething' for the past six months....pain, drooling, swelling, mouth rash...complete unhappiness, sleeplessness...
Whatever symptom listed on teething, this one has, exacerbated by a million.
I think the two bottom ones are coming in at the same time...I can see faint whiteness peeking through and a huge amount of swelling. She is not a happy camper.
I've tried it all...frozen things, teething rings, washcloths, the little finger brush thing...I try my best to avoid medicating, but for the nights the Tylenol or Motrin seem to take the edge off allowing her to sleep.
Is there something else out there? Can someone channel the tooth fairy and have her (or him) intervene on my daughter's behalf to get these teeth here already?
I have a feeling all that we can do is just wait it out.
I can't wait for all the others. Especially the little molars. That will be fun.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
good luck to both of us!
