Feeding your infant and ensuring they are getting enough nutrition is one of the most important aspects of parenting during that first year. This community is dedicated to those who are nurturing a baby, whether breastfed or formula-fed.
My DD is 10.5 weeks old. She did not spit up at all for the first couple weeks of life and then it was super rare until the last 3 weeks or so. Now, she spits up all of the time. The odd part is, it could be well after she finished eating. For example, I'll feed her, she'll burp fine...she'll be awake and fine and then go down for a nap (sitting up in a bouncer seat) and then she waks up 1.5 hours later and then spits up. And it's somewhat significant at times. Also, sometimes out of no where she'll start crying and then spit up--so it's bothering her.
She's on medicine for acid reflux already.
Why would she spit up so long after she eats?
I don't know what to do for her. She's pretty exclusively on breast milk...mostly ebm while I'm at work. Then I feed her in the evenings and weekends and supplement still with ebm--she's always wanting to eat.

My little boy throws up all the time but he has acid reflux. I just don't know why yours would be doing it after so many weeks of not. But, unless she seems like she's in pain I wouldn't worry too much because she's getting her nutrients.
