i was interested in attending a 3 month class (3 days a week) to become a Nail Tech, but i want to complete it while i'm on my leave. that way i wont have to go back to my crappy min. wage job afterwards! I live in Canada, so i have a 9 months more of mat. leave left. Anyone have any ideas??

Go for it. There's no reason you cannot use your maternity leave to help out your lifestyle. In the end, your job will impact your babies life too.

I think that's a great idea!! Wow, 9 months of leave left sounds great! I was out 6 months with my oldest daughter, and only 3 months this time around...to be fair I was only working at my new job for 6 months when I went out on maternity leave.

I would do it. You'll be able to provide better for your family, that's wonderful! I'm so jealous of your time off. I'm a teacher and we get 2 days!!! Seriously. If it wasn't for a doctor's release giving me six weeks to heal I would have had 2 days!

Hi there,
I too am from Canada. Can you collect EI and go to school? Make sure you check that out first. If you can, I say go for it!
