i think my 3 month old has poison ivy...what should i do and how worried should i be?

I would probably just let it run its course, since they can't really itch it shouldn't spread. If it really seems to bother I would put on some hydrocourtison(sp?)cream. I used it on my daughter when she had a skin rash and it helped a lot. It should cut down some of the itching.

From what i understand, to develop poison ivy, children need to have been exposed several times, and until the age of 3 or 4 or more, they are not supposed to be able to develop any reaction. That's what they told me when my son got it at 6. Is there any fever? I would check with my ped.

I would check the ped.....it might look like poisin ivy or it could be a heat rash or yeast rash which can mimic the look.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
