Parenting Newborns & Infants (0-1) Support Group
Feeding your infant and ensuring they are getting enough nutrition is one of the most important aspects of parenting during that first year. This community is dedicated to those who are nurturing a baby, whether breastfed or formula-fed.
And yes you can do something about it. Keep leaving her with people and preferably use same people again and again so she gets to know and like them. Do the same with your DH, but be sure to always leave the room when they are together. It will take time but she'll get used to it.
We did go through this phase, but it was just a phase and it worked both ways. Once there was the mommy phase, and then there was the daddy phase where I wasn't as good as dad if dad was home.
Encourage dad to keep doing stuff with your LO when he is home. She will soon learn that he can take care of her needs, you will always come back, and soon she will learn that dad is a lot of fun. Remind him that a lot of dads feel what he is feeling and he just has to have the confidence that he is a good dad.
Have daddy take her, don't not step in and get her if she is crying. Uts her daddy and she needs to learn he is a loving, care provider too. It might be hard and he might get frustrated but have him go outside do somthing that might help her calm down. if you contunie to step in then she will never learn. Take baby steps and it will get better.
My suggestion is, even though it will pass, to leave her withsome you trust just to let her cry with when you need to do something and get her into a routine of being with daddy at the same time.
For us, I wanted to take a bath to relax at night and she would scream and scream so I wouldn't. Do it anyway. It forces them to learn to accept other people.
Remember, it's good for mommas and babies to have time away from each other.
