Hair sticks up - Crazy hair

Just a silly thing really - but my daughters hair is about an inch long - but instead of laying flat it likes to stick straight up. I call it "crazy hair". It is kind of cute but people comment on it... and sometimes I feel like people think I don't brush my babie's hair - but I do every day. I tried to mat it down with some water but nope - sticks right up again. Or sticks up in parts so looks worse. I call her my 80's baby - because it reminds me of an 80's hairdo.... kind of punky. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this and if there was anything I could do.

My daughter has curly frizzy hair. It's not all that long either but it always sticks out on the top & in the back. So after her bedtime bath I always put lotion on her head & then again in the morning when I put on her clothes for the day. It stays down for the most part if I do that daily. :) Also, it sticks out less if I comb her hair when it's wet rather than brush it when it's dry.

I started putting my daughter's hair in pigtails right around an inch in length because of that reason! I just bought these tiny elastics from the dollar store, and they worked great! Now her hair doesn't stick up, but it's so long in the front when it's wet it runs down between her eyes and to the tip of her nose! And it's that long in the back, but still too short on the sides to do much with. We have graduated to ponytail now that it's about three inches long

One of my girls has hair that sticks straight up. I keep thinking gravity will pull it down soon but nope it keeps growing straight up lol. I think its adorable. Since she is a baby, I dont want to put anything on it. Just embrace the crazy hair :D.

Have you tried baby oil? She'll look slicked back but it may be better for you than sticking up.

DS's hair is also getting long - it lays well most of the time but he's been wearing a lot of hats in the cold weather and when I take the hat off it looks like his hair has never been brushed!

LOL my boy was born with 2 inch long hair that has already grown lol. Its always sticking up in places and if you dont get it combed right away after a bath he looks like don king. lol. We love it, My dd says he looks like a rock star lol.

My little girl has crazy hair also. I also embrace it. I actually put it into a fauxhawk as she really doesn't have much hair so what she does you can see. I have had many people say positive things about it. And I like it which is all that matters.
