So, my almost 6 month old DD has started doing this thing recently. She only wants to gnaw on her bottle nipple....on her back gums. Before she'd eat normally and then start to do that so we'd assume she was done and just playing. But now, like at night when I know she is hungry and she normally downs 4-6oz before bed, she'll eat 2oz and then gnaw on the bottle and eventually get the rest down into her.
If you take the bottle away she gets upset like she's still hungry.
Then this morning, when she hadn't eaten in 11.5 hours (that's how long she slept....normal for her), my DH went to give her a bottle and she started gnawing from the beginning...didn't want to eat any of it like normal.

She is bf too, but she's been taking bottles without an issue since she was 8 weeks old for most of her feedings. My supply is very low....so I can't ebf when I'm home even. I give her the breast in the evenings and she doesn't gnaw on me...she eats normally, but I seriously only get like 1-2oz now pumping at night, so I don't want to bf her right before bed (only) becuase I'm sure she won't get enough.

So, is she just not hungry? is she teething the back (she has no teeth yet)? Any suggestions?
