DD is 9m today. I haven't noticed this but my DH watches DD during the day and he's said for the last 2 days it seems that DD is fussy while she's pooping and not liking her diaper changed. He said she cries when pooping. She's a VERY happy baby normally. I've noticed her liking getting her diaper changed less...she tries to roll or flights putting her legs up etc. She had a little redness but it's not abnormal--it comes and goes with her, we use cream etc. DH says her consistency doesn't seem too different. We really haven't fed her much different.... She hasn't changed formula.... Any thoughts?

I hate to say it, because I hate hearing it, it is a phase. My son went through the whole DON'T CHANGE MY DIAPER phase. It was like wrestling an octopus. He didn't have the fussiness when pooping but changing the diaper was a struggle. We had toys that he cold only have when he was on the changing table. That worked for a minute. Good luck.

Mine is just over 10 months & she started the same thing about 3 weeks ago. Fussy while pooping & constantly taking off when I'm changing her. I think it's a normal part of beginning to obtain some independence. They're at that age where they are recognizing they actually can make some choices, plus of course the ever-increasing desire to explore & play rather than doing something boring like laying down while mommy changes the diaper. We change our daughter on the floor because she is waaaay too squirmy to even keep on a changing table.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
