I hoping some of you have experience with this. My son is 8 mos old and usually eats 3 6oz bottles of breast milk at daycare. Last week he was coming home with 1/2 to 3/4 of a bottle but he FINALLY popped out a tooth so we chalked it up to teething. He bfs in the morning, when he gets home and before bed. He also gets 2-3oz of fruit/veggie or yogurt twice while at daycare. But he just doesn't seem to be eating a ton and he is such much more active now I would think that he would want to eat more. He is still sleeping from 7pm-5-6am , pooping and peeing like a champ. He had a lot of trouble gaining weight in the beginning so I am really paranoid about what and how much he eats but it seems like he is really wanting more food and less breast milk. But I thought that you bm/formula were to be their main food source until they were at least a year old so I've been cutting back on the food I send in with him trying to get him to drink more bm. Our provider offers the bottle but some days he just doesn't want to finish them anymore or doesn't really want to have his 3rd bottle. Is this normal?? Some days he eats everything I send in, but more often he is coming back with some. He seems fine, is chubby and happy, but anything regarding food and him always makes me a little paranoid.

My experience with my two is that some days they eat like champs and others they could care less. I know with both of them when they were teething there were times when they did not want the bottle . He is probably fine. But I understand your concern. My kids had no trouble with gaining weight and it still bugs me when my daughter won't take her milk cup or eat. She just turned one 2 weeks ago.and is off the bottle now.. Perhaps there is another tooth that he is working on. Usually when one pops through another one is very close to coming in. I would talk to your pediatrician if u are still very concerned maybe he/she can give u some insight.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
