Feeding your infant and ensuring they are getting enough nutrition is one of the most important aspects of parenting during that first year. This community is dedicated to those who are nurturing a baby, whether breastfed or formula-fed.
Thought I'd check to see if there are any ideas. Our house isn't all that big...typical 100 year old urban dwelling...divided rooms, etc. Well, we got one of those doorframe jumpers. Which I thought I was perfect because I don't have a lot of rooms for a large baby jumper. Until I realized, we don't have a single doorway that is framed on both sides... :-/ So I have no where that the thing can connect to. We took it over my grandmother's house who has a ton of wood frames...and her's are too high for the thing to fit around!
So, my DH is ready to add some framing to the doorway to use this jumper. I'm not really into home remodeling just so DD can get 2 months of jumping in. Plus, I'm not sure it's going to be as easy as he things....our house is over 100 years old...nothing is straight and framing won't be easy!
Has anyone ever hung one of those using something else? What did you use?

I have the door molding on both sides but Daniel doesn't like the jumper at all. he crys every time I put him in it! Good Luck!

not sure if this helps but new studies say jolly jumpers arent very good for baby growth..if you just nail a board securely on both sides when he is grown out of the jolly jumper with a bit of drywall and paint you could hide the nail holes.

I think it's worth trying to put it up. My daughter LOVED her's. We didn't have a good spot for it so we used the stationary jumpy at our house and she had the doorway one at my mom...my mom thinks that's one of the reasons she walked at 10months. She was crawling before 6m..walking by 10m...and had strong legs..and she just LOVED it. Maybe try it at someone else's house and see if he likes it.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
