I had a baby 4 weeks ago and she has colic I try everything but nothing seems to work. I don't know what to do. I have not slept in 7 days she is fussey all day long and all night

Sometimes the simple things really help, from when my baby was first born I would put him on a pillow next to me, nice warm bottle with the lights off. If he was agitated sometimes I would give him some gas drops or otherwise a stomach massage always helps, I could actually feel the gas bubbles in his stomach bubbling sometimes it was strange. When nothing was working, my hubby would hold him and walk around the kitchen with the light off backwards and forwards for around 10 minutes and that always got him to sleep for some reason, although we haven't had to do that in a while. Hope you get some sleep soon, it will pass!

My son isn't too colicky, he fusses once in a while, but for the most part he's pretty good. I've heard though that bringing colicky babies outside in the cold for a few minutes helps...and I've used it when he seems inconsolable. I walked out on the porch with him (it was maybe in the 40s) and he stopped right away. It doesn't always last, but it works for a bit!

They told me that my oldest son had colic for almost a year. If he wasn't sleeping then he was crying. He was around 6 months before he slept for more than an hour and a half. He was more than a year old before he slept through the night. We tried it all: warm milk, gas drops, feeding upright, grippe water, walking, etc. People told me that it wouldn't last long but it did for more than a year, every single day. I thought I was going out of my mind. Daycare wouldn't even take him because he cried so much.

Since having him I changed pediatrician with my other two babies and found out that they have acid reflux. I have ever reason to believe that he had reflux as well and it just went untreated. If your baby is inconsolable, spits up a lot, and doesn't sleep well talk to your doc about reflux. I only wish I had known about it then. I just thought I wasn't doing something right.

My daughter had colic for a long time, I think the only thing that "cures" colic is time for their digestive system to mature and my DD was a preemie, so it took a while. Colic Calm (you can get it at CVS or on line) was the only thing that seemed to help at all and I highly recommend it. Three peds also recommended Good Start formula with the probiotics in it (the protect type), my DD tolerated that type of formula much better than any of the others. So if your baby is formula fed you might want to try Good Start Protect formula. I feel what you are going through, believe me you are not alone, but it really does feel like it at the time.

My DD was 6.5 weeks early. She is colicky, has GERD and MPI...needless to say there is a lot of constant crying in our house. I will say that wearing her, colic calm and a HappyTummi have helped a lot.

My daughter was colic. At exactly 8pm every single night she would start screaming. We would call it 'demon Marlow' lol and help us all if we weren't able to make it home by then!

All that helped is if I sang 'You are my sunshine' and bounced her gently, while walking back and forth across our kitchen. And the screaming usually kept up until 2am. I can't remember how long it lasted. To tell you the truth, I was so sleep deprived I barely remember that time at all! lol

i feel for you i really do, my son was colicky from 4 days old till about 8-9 weeks old. what worked for me was i changed his milk to cow and gate comfort and started putting a cap full of gripe water directly in his bottle, he was a different baby within the day. x

Yvonne is correct. Colic Calm works wonders for my DD as well. She had some pretty bad gas the first month and it helped even more than the gas drops, and she absolutely loves it! She made yucky faces with the gas drops but love the Colic Calm. We got it at CVS as well. Good luck!
