Parenting Newborns & Infants (0-1) Support Group
Feeding your infant and ensuring they are getting enough nutrition is one of the most important aspects of parenting during that first year. This community is dedicated to those who are nurturing a baby, whether breastfed or formula-fed.
Someone told me that there comes a point in a baby's development where they start to realize what leaving is. And they need to learn that just because you leave does not mean you aren't coming back. So when you are out of sight, baby panicks until you come back. Eventually, they are suppossed to put it together and realize it's okay to leave, as you are for sure coming back. With my daughter, it took almost a month. But now she's fine without me again.
Good Luck.
Rice cereal is constipating I have my dd on oatmeal-fruit...no apples.
if your little one can crawl and you have a washroom on your main floor, maybe leave it open a crack if you are the only one home so that your little one can still find you. i find that works best with my son who is now 17 months and starting to go through his second separation anxiety phase
Anywhoo, he DID go through a phase lke that and I started making it a game. I would loudly sing or speak to him AS I LEFT the room and then I'd peek around the corner and let him see me etc... He'd fuss for a second, then I'd come back and he'd laugh. That leaned into full on hide and seek an dpeeka a boo but it also got us past that rough "clingy" phase. And...he still does that periodically when he's teething or not feeling good.
