Parenting Newborns & Infants (0-1) Support Group
Feeding your infant and ensuring they are getting enough nutrition is one of the most important aspects of parenting during that first year. This community is dedicated to those who are nurturing a baby, whether breastfed or formula-fed.
In the meantime, have you tried cornstarch or vasaline on the bottom? My dd has only had one diaper rash so I don' know a whole lot about it but when she did get it, it was with diarhea (spelling) really bad and we just smothered her in vasaline to protect her skin as a barrier and it really worked. My mother also swears by the cornstarch, which worked to dry her skin out. Not sure about doing it as a combo, though. Sounds messy!
Good luck!
Same thing happened to my daughter and we put her on similac sensitive....lactose free formula....she was like a different baby after the first bottle
As for the formula try using Emfamil or maybe even something that is soy based. My daughter was always throwing up on similac and i switched to that all her problems got better. Im not sure if you know this, but Ive worked in a doctors office and they have relationships with pharmaceutical companies to prescribe their products. This maybe happening with your ped. Believe me, it happens more often then not.
I hope your little one feels better soon!
