My son has been a snorer for quite some time and sometimes really sweaty night. I took him to the Ears, Nose, Throat Center and he is definitely a good candidate for a tonsilectomy. I was doing research and saw that children with sleep apnea can have behavioral or other emotional problems, which he certainly does. I'm just wondering if anyone else's child had positive attitude changes after s tonsilectomy or maybe I'm just hoping too hard lol. Genuinely curious. Thanks.
if I remember, my soon was home for 2 weeks after he got his tonsils out. his ENT cut them out instead of cauterizing them which made the recovery a bit longer. He was sent home with antibiotics, and morphine for pain and to help keep him sedated so his throat wouldn't rip open while crying. he healed nicely, and there were a few days that were worse then others. my son also has ADHD,
he does not snore anymore.
