My 7 yr old boy is getting followed around at school by older kids calling him "loser" and "snot ball." He says some of the kids are the same kids that were doing this to him last year. He tells me he has told the yard duty at school several times but nothing is done about it. What should I do?
As I remember from my own times when I was teased, the last thing I wanted was for my mom or dad to talk to the kid's parents b/c I would know it got back to the kid and would only make my life worse. If it's handled properly at school, it won't reflect on him. The only way I would say something directly to the parents was if there was physical violence.
My daughter gets teased at school for being one of the littler kids, so I know how it hurts to hear this, but I know scrutiny will be there always. We can't always be there to throw our shroud of protection over them, even though we would like to.
