Uhm, I was seperated from my daughter for 8 years, which is almost half of her life.
This is good that you can communicate with her.....
Could both parties perhaps go half and half and discuss or make a goal to use SKYPE? I'm techno-stupid, so I dont' know exactly how it works, but I would think that that would be a good way to communicate.
Topics? Ask her what she likes and maybe list those things that she talks about most. Ask her dad's aunt---what she likes to speak about as well.
I used to have this problem with my daughter and also I had trouble knowing exactly what to buy her for holidays.
Know this--When she gets older there may be a good chance that she comes back to you. And, as children get older they can sense your goodness as a person and they will respond to you. My daughter is with me now. In Jesus Name.
