I needed somewhere to vent today. I am going through a lot of stress in my life right now and I just lost control with my 6 year old and started yelling at him. I know that my lack of control over myself, is not just because he would not clean his room. It just was the last straw on top of a load of other things. I just get tired of cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, and doing the laundry while he plays outside and then when I ask him to just pick up his dirty laundry, he says that I am mean and that I always yell at him to do things. I had not raised my voice up to this point and was just matter of factly asking him to put his laundry away before he went back outside. I did not expect him to clean his room or anything else, just do as I had asked. I am just frustrated with having to spend my day picking up after everyone else in the house. I want to play too.
