Many kids wet the bed longer than that, unless it is something new. But consult the doctor if you are worried. Good luck!
As for bed wetting, im not sure, all childrne do things in their own time, and he may not be ready yet!!maybe try talking to him, see if something is bothering him, or waking him before you go to sleep and take him toilet.....anything worth a try. good luck.
and my son is always able to sleep as long as he wants (he just naturally wakes with the sun on his own, so he's not sleep deprived). it's just the way his body is. I've learned though, to keep my mouth shut about it lest I get 15 suggestions I've already tried over and over lol.
I think some kids just don't develop physically in that department as soon as others OR perhaps they sleep so very soundly they don't wake when they have to go.
We're at the point now when I wake him around 2 am to go, he can stay dry most nights if I do that. I'd rather do that than give him meds for it, personally. I do have my son take his wet sheets and put them in the wash when he gets up, and he has no qualms about doing that ... it's just as normal as getting dressed. good luck.
My pediatrician is not concerned about my 7 year old's occasional bedwetting. She believes that as my son gets older he will begin waking himself to go to the bathroom.
