How long until your bleeding slowed down? We are 11 days postpartum and I am still bleeding very heavily and it is still bright red! I sent my midwife an email so hopefully I will get a response soon. I know I should just call considering that it is Friday but I really don't want to go in there and be seen because it is seriously a disgusting amount of bleeding like way more than a period I think. I feel so disgusting and dirty lol..I have no symptoms of infection..no fever...no chills...no foul odor (just smells like a menstrual cycle)...ugh I just want it to go away!!!!

so the doc called last night and said the pathology report did not show any placenta but large amounts of blood clots and infection!!! I CANT BELIEVE I DID NOT GET SICK!!!! Thank god I got that taken care of!! but of course now I have to go on 2 antibiotics! BLAH! She said she would call on ones that are safe for breastfeeding which is a good thing because my stash is not large enough to get us thru a course of antibiotics if i had to pump/dump again!

Ugh, sorry you had to go through this, but glad that they did it and found the infection so they could treat it. I was apparently really lucky as far as the bleeding went. I only bled heavy for one day, and then it was like a light period for about a week. Beyond that I just had spotting for a couple more weeks and then it was gone. I was hoping to not get a period for a while from breastfeeding, but since I'm not doing that anymore, I'm expecting to start soon. My doc said it could come back anywhere from 8-12 weeks, so we'll see. I so have not missed it!

its been 10 days since the D&C and still bleeding but i think she said it could last 2 weeks after D&C....I have gone thru like a million pads since I had her...driving me crazy!!! I started taking probiotics because i am worried about us getting thrush from all the antibiotics I am on.....so i am trying to prevent that!

Oh man...Do everything you can to keep that away...I wouldn't wish thrush on my worst enemy. Make sure you look for the early signs bc the faster you see it the easier it is to get away. Hope bleeding stops soon :(
