When I went to my respiratory doctor he said it sounded like panic attacks. I had several more when I had to deal with that awful boss. Mydoctor found me to be extremely stressed and taquicardic and was pretty concerned..
In the end I quit the job. I couldn't deal with working for someone like that any more. It was a rough 2 weeks from when I gave notice to when I stopped working - more ambush-type situations with the boss, one of his minions calling me many times to try to convince me to come back, etc. However, now that I am free of that situation I haven't had another attack. I clearly did the right thing for my mental health. And, I have a job interview next week!
