Also I am looking into different CBT programs, joining support groups like this, talking about my attacks and learning everything I can. I even went and looked up acupressure on youtube and it either helps for real or is just a mental distraction, but I like it :)
I have come to the conclusion that anxiety / panic attacks are part of my life. Having one is VERY unpleasant, but doesn't mean we are losing ground. The time in between the attacks is what we should focus on. Living those days, or for some of us hours, to the best of our ability.
Also I am trying cymbalta now for depression and anxiety and use valium 10 mg when needed. I start with the breathing, meditation, relaxation and that normally solves the panic, but for the days or situations where it does not, medicine is my fall back option.
@darksky602 I downloaded Panic Away (Joe Barry)..its a great book, I find it very helpful. There is also a chapter about acupressure, so I know what you mean. The problem is that I know all the theory...but sometimes when panic attack hits me..I cant think clerly. It blurs my mind..you know what I mean. I am trying to think positive, but sometimes its sooooo hard.
@butterfly Today I fell ok. How are you?? I understand you complitely. Its great for your anxiety to do yoga and meditate..but panic attacks come so unexpectedly. I also practice positive thinking...I have few books, very helpful..Panic Away (Joe Barry), Rhonda Byrnes (The Magic, The Power and Secret)..and Louise L. Hay...she is my favorite. Few weeks ago I bought her newest book Loving Yourself to GREAT HEALT. Its great. There is also The power is within you AND You can heal your life :) try!!! I found lots of great positive thoughts and mantras :)
