I think I may have experienced my first ever panic attack last night. I was extremely afraid of something irrational, to the point I was crying, being startled easily, screaming when startled, tightness in throat and chest, with shortness of breath. This lasted for about 10-20minutes and I swear the whole time I knew in my head it was irrational, but I couldn't stop feeling the way I was. I am not sure who to talk to about it, if anyone, or if it really was a panic attack? I am quite embarrassed by what I was so afraid of as well.
