Writing helps for me as it allows me to sort through the overload of emotions and fear. I think movement helps a lot. At the onset, I’ve found it easier to derail or at least stabilize symptoms if I get up and go somewhere else, a walk, cafe, or just step outside and take deep breath.
There have been some helpful new apps but the success I think depends on if it’s right fit for you.
Best thing is for me to breath, speak out loud reassurance and just walk around room.
Hopefully you will not have to wake up with fear in the morning. It’s a very charged and uncomfortable thing to wake up with. Just breath. You can get through this. It’s not easy but take your time to ease out from the fear.
