Are the meds helping? As far as the shaking is concerned when ever I have a panic attack I have the racing heart then once things seem to be winding down I will shake uncontrollably for a little while. It's weird. So I guess I can totally relate to the symptoms you are describing. Last summer I went on a low dose of zoloft and that helped tremendously. No attacks at all while I was on zoloft. I also gave up caffeine and that helped a lot too.
I hope you feel better soon.

It isn't fun, and can be scary, but if you have the assurance that your heart is fine, then that is a great relief.
Give your meds time to work. If you are able to feel and attack coming before it actually hits, take a Xanax right then, and take deep breaths. That is what I do...the minute I start to feel the least bit strange, I will take a Klonopin, and do some deep breathing. If I catch it in time, it makes the attack minor, or disappear all together.
It's no fun, but start to learn your body, and what you're feeling, and you will learn to deal a little easier.
I just had a panic attack like twenty minutes ago. Whenever I have an attack I tend to come on here and read posts...that often helps me as I am coming down from the attack.
Best of luck to ya!
