Has been a few months since i had a full blown panic attack. Want to be reassured w/o going to the ER for the 10th time that this is just panic.
First, I got dizzy. Then I have a strange feeling come over me all at once. Almost that feeling when you are on a roller coaster. The tickle in your belly. Then I got sort of this pressure in my head. Both went away quickly, but came back serveral times. Felt short of breath while this was going on. Symptoms came in waves and lasted about an hour on and off, with taking a Xanax at the first sigh. I just worry everytime that I am having a stroke or something.
Thanks in advance for the support.

yeah, it sounds like a panic attack. i know ppl have different symptoms. i usually hyperventilate, get tingly all over, yeah it kinda feels like im on a rollercoaster, cant think. dont now if this will help, but i guess it helps to know what happens to other people to see if what ur going thru is normal!

Yes I also think thats what your having and I know your feeling about going to the er so many times. Once my ekg's and everything would come out fine you would think that would make me ok since I then knew I was going to have a heart attack or stroke (I mean it did calm me down for awhile) but not long. I'm on Xanax too and it worked great for the first few weeks but the other morning while on them, I had a bad panic attack too.....Just hang in there :)

the last one i had was so bad i thought it was a stoke too - i don't think they ever get easier - and even though we KNOW they are not gonna kill us, they sure FEEL like it.....

Totally know the feeling. I still have it routinely. Its weird too. Its like this slight dizzyness (I mean REALLY Slight) and then all of a sudden, I m thinking....im going to passout in the bathroom...or in the middle of the office. Just know, that you're OK and there REALLY is nothing wrong with you....it will pass! hang in there.

Yep! Sounds like a attack. Try counting 100~1 backwards. Also, stay positive and stay away from coffee or anything with caffine. Try go out and get some fresh air. You'll be fine!

That sounds a lot like what I feel when going through an attack. Other times it's different though.

I was on Xanax but found my attack got worst after taking the med for awhile. It worked great in the beginning but it is not a long term drug. My doc switched me to Klonopin and now I'm on Lorazapam. The Lorazapam seems to be working great but we will see.
