Nowdays, I can usually pull myself out of one within the first few minutes. or talk myself through it. I learned to do this with practice getting my breathing under control.
I still have days that can be filled with panic and high anxiety, but that full blown panic I am going to die feeling has subsided a little now.
I have been living with panic attacks for almost 30 years now.
Now, my attacks last a good 20 minutes tops. Lately, they have happened a bit more frequently. You see, I have to commute to work every day since my car isn't properly functioning. I keep feeling like I'll never make it to work alive. It's strange. I know this isn't true I've had anxiety for over 5 years and sometimes I don't even know why my brain throws random thoughts at me this way. It's kind of amusing. lol
Be kind to yourself and practice slow breathing. It helps tons. Wish you luck :)
