There is nothing to be embarrassed about. I've had some of my worst panic attacks at times when I should have been having the time of my life - on my honeymoon, during a trip to Disneyland, at my best friend's wedding, concerts. You name it.
Kuddos to you for going back to the game after feeling that way. I would have been out of there at the first sign of a panic attack.
What I've noticed (at least for me) is that at these events, alcohol is usually within the mix, which can often trigger feelings of anxiety. I've cut alcohol and limited caffeine from my diet, which has helped a lot. Of course, it's different for everyone. Just thought I'd share.
I'm so sorry you went through that experience, though. I wouldn't wish a panic attack on my worst enemy. Hang in there!
