What do you guys do when you feel like you're going crazy? I know this is a common symptom with panic dissorder, and it is one that I get often. I will feel that I have no control over my thoughts and sometimes get so anxious I cant even figure out what I'm thinking anymore, if that makes any sense. I start to feel panicky and I get that cold sweat, headache, nausea and breathless feeling. Then I start having racing thoughts that don't make sense and I cant describe its like all pent up in my head and I then end up feeling anxious for no reason and lose focus and drive to do anything and start to feel a bit depressed like I want to be alone but I don't want to be alone. I always always get derealization and depersonalizaion. Its the scariest thing and ive gotten pretty good at ignoring it but sometimes it gets unbearable. I don't know how to function lately:/ especially with my adhd..just makes it harder for me to focus and gives me lower self esteem. I really could use advice or even a few people who can really relate and be sort of a penpal and keep intouch to help each other out and give support!

I'm in the same position right now. I am starting to panic and it's so hard to talk myself down. My trigger is being separated from my husband. It has never been this bad. He is getting ready to leave work, we work together and he is leaving early. It's so stupid that this could set me off. I trust him, he is going to go home and play ga,Ed on his computer until he goes to bed. But I still want to hide in a dark corner and cry. This is getting unbearable. I wish I could help you but I'm I the same boat. I'm just trying to take it moment by moment.

i think or know you have the answers. my anxiety has 2 things it does to me one is tell me im dying usually of a heart attack or stroke, i sit around all day knowing that at any second one of these 2 things are going to happen . i wake at 4 am thinking this all day long and being terrified and by the time the sun goes down i realize it did not happen and it was just my anxiety and feel stupid for listening to it. this can happen day after day . if my anxiety isnt doing that it tells me hey your loosing your mind i wake at 4 am thinking this and just know at any moment they are going to have to commit me, it causes all kinds of visual issues and hearing issues and speech problems focus and concentration problems. i just have to be still and breath and tell myself randy im still here under all this crap im still me and just believe that there is hope. most people dont understand if i try to explain this to them . i wind up feeling so stupid. but there are other people like us that do understand and can honestly say , it scares me to when i go thru this it feels like when its going on it is always going to be this way, it drains me of life itself and i just want to give up. but there is no hope in giving up so i decide im going to fight this or deal with this for 5 more minutes . those 5 minutes turn into hours and into days and into weeks and into months and before i know it this has run its course. i have had it last up to 6 months before but it did pass and i got better. i just have to remember to stay busy , its hard when im so exhausted but i just keep bitting off little tasks all day long and rest 30 minutes or so here and there.i force myself to get up and go for a walk even though the hole time im thinking im gone die on the street or im going to freek out in front of people. i force myself to eat breakfast lunch dinner even if its a bowl of oatmeel or a sandwich. i focus on not eating unhealthy stuff. i try to stay hydrated i drink lots of water. and i take the medication my doctor has given me for my anxiety issues, whether i think its helping or not. i have to remind myself that medication can help but i have to take it, and sometimes it can take a while for them to find the right one that works. i start out my day by asking god to help me whether i believe hes listening or not, my part is to ask him for help. at night or whenever i feel it should be time to sleep whether i can or not , i say thank you god and list all the things im greatful for and i try to sleep. as of today this is my game plan. one thing i have learned is that what goes down must come up. and everthing changes. nothing has remained the same in my life except god. he has never changed . hes always bin there for me whether i want to accept that or not . so i look at it this way this is going to change it may change tommorrow next week next month but its gone change and be differnt its my job to just keep trying as best i can. so hang in there sometimes there are no simple solutions just dont believe the lies in your head

Thank you both. I'm sorry to hear momtocmbj that you're going through this as well, but I hope that you can find comfort in knowing that you are not alone because I sure do. Randy, thank you for the ling reassuring comment. I always think I have a disease and am going to die. What is going to happen is more of the obsession I have though. Ive tried to have faith but I just find that it is impossible for me. I always feel as if I am afraid of life but also afraid of death so where do you go and what do you do? I'm scared ill be like this forever. I'm so much better since ive started my medication..before that I used to be every single day..it comes and goes but sometimes ill have days or weeks that it'll stay. I'm so afraid of my own mind and I lose confidence so easily. My moods don't help, though because I am also bipolar so that makes it harder to stick with things as well.

yeh i was diagnosed with bipolar illness about 6 years ago and i have had such a hard time accepting that that diagnosis is correct. now taking meds for that also and your right it does make dealing with panic attacks more difficult. im 46 and i wasnt able to do the spiritual deal till about 5 years ago. you are farther along than i was at your age. i was self medicating myself at your age and it just about destroyed me. best of luck

I have not had a sever panic attack in years. two weeks ago my husband flew to France with our 3 year old son to see family and since that day i have been flooded with panic attacks, de personalisation. i feel like i am losing my mind! think i am about to die any second and when i go to sleep i wont wake up again. i am so distraught that i have gotten this bad again! i am on meds but its obviously not working. i too feel like i am going to flip out in front of people and they will have me committed! in two weeks i have lost 4 kilo from panic, not eating because i vomit when an attack hits. i am so tired of it.
