simply take more xanax and breathe deep and slow
try to sit at the rear of the plane so you can look forward
tell them you are a nervous passenger
And i get it your being stuffed into a medal tube going 300 mph with alot of people. I really dont have that problem its more the fear of something going wrong or having a panic attack.
My suggestion to you is if you are in Economy class sit in the back idk why but that makes me feel better avoid the middle seat at all cost. And get the isle seat might make you feel more free. And take xanax it will help you big time alot of people who fly take these type of meds.
You will be fine just take all your meds.
I've been reading your posts (because my own BP readings are all over the place and I so react to other peoples' dire warnings!).
I also practice hypnotherapy which encourages relaxation and changing thought patterns (sort of a re-programming of our minds). Perhaps there's someone you can go to for your fear of flying. It's very effective; perhaps a relaxation CD? Try placing your hand on your tummy and breathing harry 3333 says - deep and slow. Also be aware of your back resting against the back of the seat. Often when we're tense our back hollows out. Focus your mind on your safe place. These are things I do when at the dentist! Hope it helps. Warm wishes
Try and get little sleep the few days before the flight if possible so you may sleep on the journey?
If not check out crinc anxiety (google "crinc anxiety")
All the best...
I would be lying if I said I wasn't anxious during my stay....actually had a few mini attacks but was able to control them with breathing and Xanax .
On the flight home, I actually fell ASLEEP and the lady next to me tapped me on the shoulder because she had to use the restroom.
So, in conclusion, this is for all of you...I am sending support and encouragement to anyone out there suffering as I am...IF I CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU!
