I've detached before many times and I know it stinks. I was wondering if you have a past history of abuse? I have PTSD from abuse and detaching is common with us.
Not saying you have that, but reading your post makes me think of times I felt just like you.
Anxiety is a vicious cycle. Once you've had a panic attack, it snowballs from there. Journaling down your thoughts and feelings helps a lot.
It's also good to make plans now for the times when you feel like your melting down. Try crafts/hobbies, exercise, anything that will help you refocus your brain and help you calm down.
