Hey guys! So my anxiety has been controlled for a few months but now it came back.
I've been in therapy for 10 months and I've been taking 2 antidepressants a day and 1 Xanax at night.
Before, I used to focus on my past mistakes and I'd get really obsessed and anxious about them. I'd get so anxious and desperate that I could spend and entire day crying (non stop) because I couldn't see no way out. I couldn't function at all, I was totally unable to do anything alone and I even struggled when I tried to sleep (I could never get enough sleep time).
I can say that antidepressants really helped me and have been holding anxiety down for the past months and it really feels good to have a normal life.
But, since yesterday, I've been feeling anxious again. Not so anxious as before but I'm afraid that I'll get into that state of despair again, that's why I'm here.
As I said, I used to focus on past mistakes and that's what's happening right now. The "mistake" (which I don't know if it's a mistake or not yet) I made was yesterday at night, lets say that I stayed up until late (as I usually do) and saw something on the internet I probably shouldn't. I feel really mad at myself, I keep on yelling at myself, offending myself and even blaming myself on my own mind. Guess what? Now I'm obsessing about it. Whenever I feel more sensitive to get anxious, I feel like every small thing I do can turn into an huge problem and that's what's happening. Whenever I get anxious about something, I feel the urge to confess what I'm anxious about to someone (usually my mother). My mother always listens to me closely, she's really comprehensive and supportive and I'm thankful for that. But now, I'm feeling the urge to confess to her again and that's what makes me anxious because I don't know how she'll react. It seems like my mind is always searching for something to make me suffer. I'd stop this if I could but I can't. What if I get into that state of despair again? What if I get panic attacks again? I'm really scared, is this ocd? Pure O? Is there anyone out there who feels the same? I really need your help, I'm really scared. Thank you.
