A panic attack is a period of intense fear or discomfort, typically with an abrupt onset and usually lasting no more than thirty minutes. Doesn't a panic attack sometimes cause a surge of adrenaline though? If so, it would make sense that you would feel tired after.
Think of it this way. If you were in a jungle and a tiger came charging at you, you would run to save your life. After, you would be exhausted from all that running and fear and adrenalin rush. This would be considered "normal" after such a dangerous encounter. It's no different when we have panic attacks which is why it is very important for us to rest after we have one. The body needs to recover from all the perceived danger and adrenalin rush.
I hope this helps.
