I went through a difficult time when my mother and sister died 3 months apart. My sister was a drug overdose.
Mixing the grieving process with a history of panic is tough. I received some great advice from a therapist. I'll share that, but I also recommend you see a therapist to help with your grieving. The grieving is natural and needs to occur, the panic attacks are coming from it and that's where a therapist can help.
The advice I was given was pretty easy to start. First, I had to take at least a 30 minute walk each day. In my case with music so my mind would be taken away from everything and I would get exercise.
Second I started to journal each day. My raw feelings went into that journal, like self-therapy. The journal was to help the grieving, anger, frustration, etc.
Finally, one way to "cope" is through self compassion. Tell yourself that the panic is from the grieving and stress you have been through. Your reaction is normal for anyone who has gone through what you have.
Hope some of this helps. I feel for you.
