Do you have any kind of emergency health advice line you could call (we do here in UK but not sure how it works in US)? Is there any way you could take the children with you?
Really hope it calms down soon for you - thinking of you x
But will try. And drf, I will try a hot bath right now. It calmed down for about 45 minutes but is back in full force. Off to the tub.
Thank you,
Good luck and I hope you are feeling better. This does suck :(
In America do u have GPs that visit you at home? Can somebody look after your children so you CAN get some medication?
do not eat or drink....but somehow try to stay hydrated so sips of water I guess. Not a doc though so I really don't know how to help. I wish I could. What a terrible predicament u r in....u really do need to go to the ER..maybe call an ambulance...see if they will treat u at home and give u some sort of relief at least if the Doctor visit option is not an option....good luck.
Never tried a hot water bottle, will definitely try that.
No, I so not have a specialist and I do need one. I will ask my GP for a referral. The one who did the the procedure, as I said was a bad doctor. So, I will search for one. Every doctor I have seen have all told me different things. Not with the diagnosis but about what it means and so on. They all say different things about pancreatitis. Makes me wonder if any of them know anything. :P
If I eat a liquid diet, I think I can have this cleared up in a few days.
Thanks everyone.
There are 2 types of liquid diets though. A clear liquid, like I listed above and a full liquid.
When I was in the hospital, I was on a no food diet for a few days, then moved to a clear liquid diet, then on to a full liquid diet.
A full liquid diet can be found online but you have to be careful, this is not necessarily customized for pancreatitis. Ice cream is listed as one of the items. And it would be much better for me to eat pasta over ice cream any day.
I hope u r feeling better. If you google pancreatitis forum uk, that will lead u in the right direction.
Hope to see u over there and good luck!

I am seeing a new doctor soon. Hope to get some answers. Although I find, I am way more informed than they are and you are right, I know my body more than they do,
I also have multiple sclerosis, so I know all too well how hard you have to fight for your own health, because you know your body better than anybody.
Thank all for the advice and tips. While from researching, I was doing most of these, I had not tried the heating pad and drinking hot water.
As for those I was already doing, good to get a reconfirmation that I am doing the right thing. Thanks all.
