I haven't seen either, but live in area. I have heard bad things about Dr. Ostroff from several people. I wonder if their results would be different if they stated they didn't want any students working on them? Please let me know if you see someone in area and feel well cared for/competently cared for, as I need to see someone too. Best wishes, Georgia

Thanks to both of you for your information and comments on these doctors. I would appreciate it if either or both of you would add your information to my post on this forum called pancreatic specialtist. I am attempting to build a national database of pancreas specialists for us all to have access to at some point and so far we've only had a small number of folks who have had the good fortune to find good doctors. This is truly an overlooked disease and some doctors don't even know what it is at all without checking with another specialist. This database will be I think invaluable in the future especially to the young ones in the years to come. Thank you both for your contributions to this group. Troy

thank you so much for your comment, so far I feel Ostroff has been pretty good, but it is nice to know other comments, which is why I asked... because you know how you think a doc is good then find out the hard way he is not? I will def keep my eyes open and I really appriceiate your input.
You dont know about Corvera? He is on Divisidero, he is chief of pancreatic surgery..he was the only doc after years of pain that thought it might be "annular pancreatitis" and he was right! So I kind of like him .. he has done 2 bypasses on my son ... the reason he had to do a second one is cuz the first time my son was so malnutritioned that he just wanted to do the minimal and he actually said later he wished he would have done the more extensive one and he actually appologized to my son and me.. but anyway I know he is only human.. I still feel good about him .. we will see...anything can change
