I know it's a cliche but really, its like you take one day at a time. If you have a support system in place (family and friends), it can help a lot. It's difficult because some people cannot comprehend the severity of CP. I used to just want to lay on the couch and watch TV and sleep. But then, I added walking into my routine because my doctor insisted that in order for me to feel stronger, I needed to be stronger and build my body (muscle) back. I too lost a lot of weight. As I walked, then my appetite slowly started to come back and then things started to move from there. Please try Ensure as it helped me maintain my weight and bring some of my energy back. Also, I started taking daily vitamins. I ate very low fat, lots of vegetables.
