I was diagnosed with CP caused by Sjogren's syndrome in 2010 with the symptoms occurring for years. I go through bouts of pain periods and then feel pretty good for awhile. BM are solid for a number of days than fluctuate for year. On Zenpep since 2010. Over the last few months I go every couple of days where I feel achey flu like everywhere for 30 mins or so and have a rush of exhaustion. Nausea like crazy and a feeling of a rush over my body like an anxiety attack goes with it. Kind of contradictory, but that's what I describe. I had my yearly follow up with my specialist at Cleveland Clinic a few months back and didn't seem too alarmed, but it is really bothering me. My local internest will add nothing to the topic. I also feel like I just can't settle down at times, but on the flip side have slept like #$%^ for a few months with BAM waking up and staring at the clock at 2 or 3 AM 5 nights out of 7. A touch of pain at that time, but not always. Anybody else have a thought or feel this way. Take care.
I have had CP for eight years now. Prior to this year, I have had major attacks every three weeks. Yes, every three weeks for seven years. My pancreas is 60% the normal size and 100% scared. I have been at USC and UCLA among other clinics to figure this disease out. I tell you this because for the past year, I have been having what seemed to be "minnie" strokes? I would flush five times a day and my hands would go completely numb. My doctor at Sharp Health Care in San Diego was baffled. However, he is fatalistic and seems to live to help find me a solution (Dr. Keller). Six months ago he suggested trying "clariton" He said it would be an extreme long shot to help. Two weeks into taking "clariiton" - over the counter is fine, the "minnie" strokes stopped? I have not had an attack for three months now and I eat , in moderation, anything I want - no drinking! Hope this helps someone:)
Also, I have heard the anxiety attacks and IBS often go hand and hand.
