So my therapist said when SO MANY things are going WRONG WRONG WRONG, try to look for the sense of ridiculousness.
I've been so sick with my CP and liver. So Thurs after my doc and CVS, I decide to pick up a few 6-packs (flowers not beers!) at KMart since they're only 99 cents right now.
SO, I'm slowly making my way thro the aisles and BAM! I fall in this muddy 2 foot hole. I twisted my left ankle and broke (rebroke?) my toes. At first, I'm like, whatever! I was more concerned with breaking my sandals and all the gross mud everywhere!
As I'm driving home like 10 minutes later, I notice my right knee, hip and shoulder is KILLING me! By the time I get home like 20 minutes from fall, I feel like I was in a car accident and had whiplash.
I put off going to the ER despite being TOLD to by my doc (HATE the ER already with CP!). Finally go around 4am today and find out it's ONLY muscles damage (and my broken toe again).
So my husband is pissed at me for hurting myself AGAIN and messing up his mini-vaca (he's worked 6 days/week since 2012 after all). They wouldn't give me a soft neck brace and my neck is KILLING me to move. So I wrap one of their big sheet/blanket things and put it around my neck for the ride home.
I get out of the car, stumbling along in the pouring rain and suddenly feel something SLIMEY between my toes. I think to myself "NO WAY would can I have a SLUG between my toes when I'm in such agony! NO WAY!! I HATE SLUGS!!"
Guess What? I looked down (almost fell down trying to bend neck) and saw the biggest SLUG I've ever seen in my life BETWEEN MY TOES!!!!! I SCREAM and Matt comes out (annoyed) and heroically pulls the HUGE YELLOW SLUG off my toes.
Who said life couldn't be ridiculous? I mean REALLY!? I go 45 YEARAS without a slug between my toes and TODAY I get one? REALLY?

Thank you so much for finding the humor in this ridiculousness! I should tell you all about the clamworm that got into my bathing suit when I was a kid! We were in Nova Scotia with family and it was QUITE a big deal! I was panicked and no one could figure out why. They made a big tent of towel and I pulled my suit off to find this foot long worm with legs just hanging out!!! EeeK! That was worse than the slug. Almost 40 years later and I still shudder!
You gotta laugh at life when you can, aye? Glad I was able to make you laugh! But for now, NO MORE BUGS OR SLIMY things please! Nibs ;)
In California we just have good old snakes, & scorpions , and you learn very young to shake your clothes & shoes out before you put them back on once they have been laying on the ground..
