I am concerned that I might have a pseudocyst. I have a ball like feeling in my abdomen, more on the left side- the pancreas tail is affected more than any other area of my pancreas. I have been nauseated more but have not actually thrown up. My pain normally is more spread out- like the whole abdomen is achy but this pain is mostly contained within that ball like area.
I almost went to the ER last night cause the pain was so bad but it finally eased up and while it has not gotten as bad today, the pain is there.
My pancreas dr is 3 hours away and is only in his office on Fridays.
I have been dealing with pancreatitis for 5 years now and with the last year being almost constant pain. I have had this ball like feeling before but it usually goes away. It just seems to be staying longer this time.

When I had the pseudocyst my abdomen between my rib cages was hard like a rock and I could feel it like a ball half the size of my fist and it stayed that way for three weeks.
Why didn't the hospital check you for a pseudocyst? When I have a pancreatitis attack they always insist on a CAT scan. Now when it happens I insist on an MRCP which is much safer than a CAT scan. CAT scans have a huge amount of radiation and my doctor says if you have too many of them you could develop lukemia from them.
