I took prilosec for 8 years to help with GERD & to help w/ enzymes. About 6 months ago I "hit a wall" I was incredibly sick and getting sicker, I decided something had to change so I started a new and natural program. I've been taking Bentonite, its basically clay, but it absorbs toxins and acids in the body . After two months of bentonite I stopped the prilosec and have now gone 4 month without it. Looking back I blame the prilosec for some of my nausea, diarrhea, and fog. I went through withdrawal too similar to how I react going off pain meds too fast. Coincidence or not, I have much less nausea, and I had 1 bout of diarrhea last month verses 158 in June when I started tracking. Several of my Dr's have wanted me to start taking the prilosec again, but feel much better without it.
