Hi everyone. So sorry for anyone that is battling with this so please hear my story and it’s long so sorry in advance. 


Min 2016 my Mother (73) became severally I’ll hurting in her stomach. So we rushed her to ER where they diagnosed her with Pancreatitis. Little history here. She has NEVER drank, NEVER smoked, hardly takes any meds at all except for the occasional headache. So they discover she has blocked gallstones, take out her gallbladder, alls well right? WRONG. Now it’s 2018 (2 years later) and here we go again but this time they run many tests put her on iv liquids, pain meds, and no food or drink. She gets better we come home she is very weak but better. Then about s month later Bam here we go again, same thin, same story but this time they have made her an appt with a gastroenterologist. Has anyone experienced anything similar. She said it feels like a belt is being squeezed around her middle and also compared it to child birth! Thanks for any input.

Yes I have some of the same exact symptoms. In 2008, I had my gall bladder removed. I had massive diarrhea for 2 yrs. Then , in 2010, I Was in severe pain on my right side and I felt like my stomach had a balloon in it and I was going to blow up. I let it go for three weeks and then a Sunday I ended up on the floor. I was rushed to the ER and they said I was jaundiced And my liver was failing, so they admitted me and did a liver biopsy which went really bad as they cut my main artery and I had a hematoma The size of a football. I was in the ICU for two weeks, and almost died. Ever since I get acute/chronic and now I’m told interes The size of a football. I was in the ICU for two weeks, and almost died. They put me in the hospital give me IV pain meds, Iv fluid And complete bed rest from 3 to 4 days. Miami leas and complete bed rest from 3 to 4 days. My amylase and lipase Goes from normal and depending on if I catch it at the highest has gone to 3000. I’ve been to Cleveland clinic had testing done there and they could not find anything other than the specte i’ve been to Cleveland clinic had testing done there and they could not find anything other than the spinchter of Odi was closed too much. After that I was good for about a year and then my attacks started once again. It is not from alcohol as they told me the gene I have was negative. I’m at a loss as to what to do as it’s getting expensive going to the hospital every time. I’m doing some research on some different pancreas doctors as I need to know the cause. If anyone has gone to a specialist and has gotten results please let me know. I feel like I’m never going to be well and it dictates where I can and can’t go

I was just diagnosed with pancreatitis. I had Basel cell surgery on a monday. Came home late a little took a nap. Woke up in pain, took the prescribed tylenol with codeine, never had it before. 30 minutes later I had this horrible pain in my chest, felt like a heart attack. Couldn't breath and was double over. Emergency first responders came, treated me as having a heart attack, took me to hospital. There had more tests, hooked up to everything. At that point I was diagnosed. Not a drinker, dont have my gallbladder. Said it probably was caused by one of my high blood pressure meds and the pain pill asserbated it. It was awful. Stayed 3 days, IV fluids etc. Scary stuff. Now I'm worried about what I can eat. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thank you

wow all this sounds too familiar! this is awful we go go go to doctors and we can't get answers :(
