I would say that beyond the greasy , fatty foods..SUGAR is not good..and a lower carb diest is probably good to follow.
It is a weird disease. we have been told that the docs don't even understand it all that well...and that the pancreas just sort of does what it wants...gee thanks doc.
Some dumb doc even told my daughter she could eat ANYTHING she wanted as long as she took her meds....really??
I had not had an attack for 20 years then when my daughter got so sick ...I ended up in the hospital for 5 days. I believe it was from stress.
I spent many days in the hospital as a child....finally had exploratory surgery to find out what was wrong with me ( 11 at the time)
My daughter and I both have trouble with bloating...must say when I went low carb I felt better. Got a book called The 17 day Diet...lost needed weight and just felt better all around.
My daughter has had raised levels with no pain...not sure why. One doc thought her pancreas was worse? But offered no explanation how he came up with that in view of the lack of pain...can be frustrating! i hope you are able to get some answers.
Also, I have had my Gallbladder removed. So, eating certain foods cause the bloating and pain. I have had to take a serious look at my diet and do a complete overhaul. I googled "Diets for people with no gallbladder" and began to follow this. I have been bloat and pain free ever since. I. also, no longer use the Bentyl.
Hope this helps.
