Chronic pancreatitis can present as episodes of acute inflammation in a previously injured pancreas, or as chronic damage with persistent pain or malabsorption. Patients with chronic pancreatitis can present with persistent abdominal pain or steatorrhea, as well as severe nausea. Some patients with chronic pancreatitis often look very sick, while others don't appear to be...
Heck, I can even eat chocolate and ice cream. It's been over a year since I have had a screaming pain attack.
I went from having these attacks to a constant nagging pain. Not sure what happened. I wonder if the pancreas is just dying off.
I have some answers to get.
As for diet, today, I ate some noodles, green beans, and biscuit.
I did ok.
I then ate some ice cream. Right now, I have a mild napping pain. Enough to make me uncomfortable, but far from the double over, make you sweat, screaming pain I used to have.
In other words, in the last 2 years, my pancreatitis has dramatically changed.
Just a side note, as maybe incentive to stay as fat free as possible; my first attack(s) lasted several months, I had a stent placed and removed and gradually the pain subsided and I went back to eating what I wanted. It was 8 years before I had another screaming attack and started the slippery downside of CP. In fact it was the second attack before I was officially diagnosed with CP. So please, please listen to your body and do everything you can to manage the CP.
Thanks for all you input. Much appreciated.
Troy :-)
I just don't have the heart to tell you the truth. ;)
