Pancreatitis Support Group
Chronic pancreatitis can present as episodes of acute inflammation in a previously injured pancreas, or as chronic damage with persistent pain or malabsorption. Patients with chronic pancreatitis can present with persistent abdominal pain or steatorrhea, as well as severe nausea. Some patients with chronic pancreatitis often look very sick, while others don't appear to be...
"There is more evidence now that nerves in the pancreas play a significant role because they can become inflamed. I think there is a lot of evidence now that its not just a plumbing problem. Its a wiring problem, said Forsmark."
1. Give the patient pain meds....
2. Give the patient...MORE pain meds..... its ok... you wont get in trouble
2. Run a pancreas enzyme test along with the CBV
3. Dont judge the patient as to HOW they ended up with this pain...cuz you dont know! (unelss they tell you)
4. Admit them if pain does not subside!
5. DO NOT call them an alcoholic! or a "drug seeker" although you may THINK this ....keep these thoughts to yourself...due to saying these things will not cure them....I'll repeat.... saying these words /or looking at them like they are crazy.... will NOT cure them...
just some tips from lsjjm have a good day doc lol :)
oh ya tx i forgot about the enzymes yes you are right they are usually low DUH I think I had too much of Troys dpp! hahahaha
I too think it could have something to do with the pancreas nerves for some of us. That is probably why the pancreas-nerve-block worked so well for me.
Upset nerves is another thing MJ would be good for. The mothership really really needs to come here to Indiana and put some since into our leaders so MJ can come visit and help ease our suffering, Im sick of the pain!
we need the msm to take us to jamaca....for some mj and leave behind the cp...unless youve had a tp ait....then all you need is some dpp when Troy comes a calln........
Hugs ..hope you are feeling somewhat better at least!
