So as a refresher, Im not 100% dx-though suspected potentially recurrent mild attacks. Ive had upper left sided stabbing pains on and off for 5 yrs. The most my lipase has been was dbl normal and that was 1 wk after my first (and worst) attack happened. Ever since my lipase is always 10-20 high regardless if I have pain or not.
My bowels are usually pretty soft and bulky but as of the last month its like I have the stomach flu minus maybe a 3 or 4 day break. Straight D several times a day. I am on Creon, and taking enough too.

In the event you are having left sided stabbing pains, it could definitely be your pancreas. I tend to have pains there when I am acutely flared up. It also could be some kind of colitis or diverticulitis because that often presents with stabbing pain in the left side.
I would say if you are getting dehydrated, pain worsens, you have a fever or nausea, you should think about getting to the Dr.
